Just sacked another bloke who believed the best thing for a lawn in 40 degree heat was to mow it so short that the roots were exposed. If anyone knows of someone who knows what they are doing and is willing to listen please PM details. Re: Good lawnmowing service SOR 4Mar 07, 2011 9:06 am That is what some of our neighbours do ... AND they do it during the worst time - midday ... somehow their lawns are still alive but I suspect they are struggling very much. Sometimes I do see them going all straw brown, so short and exposed in the heat, but eventually they recover. And because they mow them so often, I can't really say if they got infested with weeds because of these "smart" moves (or mowes ). Oh, and of course then they set the sprinklers on for hours Anyway, can you just ask them to mow it eg. 8cm short?? My signature is distracting people from my wise posts ... Re: Good lawnmowing service SOR 5Mar 07, 2011 4:04 pm Have asked multiple mowers to mow it long. Most of them say "no problem" and then proceed to scalp it and then say it died because of a lack of water. Others just say "That's the way I mow" and then wonder why they don't get the job. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good hydronic in slab heating speacialist who may be able to help me with an existing system and wether or not it may need a seperator… 0 4858 9 24637 |
