We are replacing our turf. Our current turf will be poisoned and then scraped off. They suggested to deliver the new top soil, wheel it into the backyard, cover it with plastic and have it sitting there while they are doing the landscaping - could be 4 to 6 weeks. They would cover it so that the soil can't get contaminated with weed seeds.
Is it a good idea to have the soil covered with plastic? I'm thinking that there are some "good organisms" in the soil and they will suffocate under the plastic. Should we just have it delivered later?
