Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Feb 19, 2011 1:14 pm I have an issue with reticulation. One station/solenoide comes on all the time when the other stations are going. One easy fix is to turn off the solenoide and water manually......only short term issue though. I have pulled apart and all looks fine and the wiring looks good too. I'm sure this is an easy fix but how do I get this station to work only when it is supposed to (BTW when on it is reducing pressure to all other stations) Cheers Retic issue - a station stays on all the time 2Feb 19, 2011 1:53 pm Yes it will be reducing pressure as more water is diverted away from where you want it to be. In all likely hood the valve will be the problem. Try cleaning the valve body inside and out. Spray all internals with " popup sprinkler lube" available from any retic shop. Make sure no water re-enters the valve when cleaning. It tales just a bit of grit between the diaphragm and seat to allow water to push in under it and force it open. Take a look at the coil as well. The little cylinder unit with the wires coming out. Carefully remove the pin and spring inside and clean them in clean water. Spray some lube in there and put the spring and pin back in. Spray some in where the coil gets screwed in as well. If you have a valve that has screws holding the top on you're going to need to screw opposite screws when reinstalling. Like how a car wheel is supposed to be put on. If you screw it back on going around the top its unlikely you will get even pressure and air may find it's way in and open the valve or create a slight leak at least. If you are replacing a valve, replace it with a jartop. No screws, just a twist on lid. Easy to clean, repair in situations like this. If you have white pipe either side of the valve, you will need what is called a "slipfix" to reinstall the new valve. It creates a slide to reconnect the pipe. If you have black poly then it's an easy task May pay to reconnect the wires with gel connectors. I have a home gym at home. It weights 150KG including the weight stack. I'm a big boy, around 150KG myself. I was thinking about moving it up stairs to the second… 0 3843 |
