Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Feb 17, 2011 12:00 pm Hi everyone Just a quick question regarding laying turf and organic soil improver. We have a lovely sand pit at the moment (South West WA), and have read through some of the posts on here about digging in organic soil improver. I've just got a quote from somewhere local, and while the price is probably reasonable (?? really, I have no idea), it's a lot more than we were expecting, thus, way over our current budget. Is there anything else we could use?

The soils and advice you guys are likely to encounter just doesn't cut the mustard. I dread to think how many people read my stuff, righto lets get a trailer load of lawn mix, that'll do. Or get something that is a compromise all together. At everypoint that a high grade cert organic compost is not used, it is a compromise on the finish and results you will get with your turf.
