Hi.
Does anyone know if lacewings are a friend or foe?
I have hundreds of them over my camellias.
Thanks.

Re: Lacewings on my camellias 2Jan 28, 2011 1:07 pm Don't know about the adults, but the larvae eat aphids and other plant pests. We've got thousands of adults in our garden at the moment and I was covered in them on Wednesday when pruning camellias and the lemon, plus cutting down the fig. I assumed that the rains we've had lately meant lots of aphids and other food for the lacewing larvae, and that was why there were so many of them around...?
