We're always coming across neat stuff, usually insects, and we're often really impressed. I think this is mainly because we're from the UK though, and it was a major event if we found a slow worm!
Now we live in the Dandenongs, we're fascinated by everything we find. My daughter is obsessed with finding snails and 'hunting henry's' (Huntsman spiders). My husband and I can't get enough of possums (I'm sure that will change!) and having parrots in our garden daily

Cicada that a bird dropped. It was still alive, so we placed it in the bushes and hoped it made it

Baby mantis we saw later on same day (the arm of that chair is only 2.5cm wide, so he's very ickle!

No idea what it is and to be fair, it was in the park not our garden, but we still thought it was cool
