Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design So what have you done in your garden today? 441Mar 31, 2012 8:33 pm Pulled little cons all out. Replaced with Xanadu. Moved frangipani tree. Watered and watered the poor excuse for a lawn. Fingers crossed the Xanadu don't fry in summer. Might put a bit of cloth over them closer to summer. We started shifting my bargain mulch into the garden beds. phew Dh and I had had enough after an hour. Still loads to shift. It was tree loppers mulch but it must be just the finer branch bits and leaves of his mulch as it's all fine stuff and bloody difficult to shift. It was easier to shift it in my hands than with a shovel. Load the barrows, trundle it around the fencing to the gate and into the garden beds. blahhhh So what have you done in your garden today? 443Mar 31, 2012 8:56 pm Agh lots of work Kek!!! good for the garden and sole tho. Make sure u put your feet up and relax tonight Umbrella tree? It's a frangipani... Probably take it with us when we decide to get a bigger house. Yay. The Clay was nice and breakable with a bag or 4 of naked farmer in there!! and following the almighty Fu's advice I did the soil prep for a 2x2m patch in the front by hand. OUCH MY BACK!!!!!! However end result is worth it. I have some Lomandra as a border and Banksia Ericifolia to fill out the middle this is a early crappy phone pic but you get the idea Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I went outside once. Thought Id share my latest project. To my hubbys discust, I love Bromeliads. I think they are sructually beautiful and come in all diff colour combos. My hubby is more into fruit trees and chillies. Esp his chillies.lol Well I finally got to make my Brom wall. DH bought 2 pallets home frome work for me. I stapled gutter guard at the bottom of each garden bed row to hold the soil. Painted them up, bolted it to the wall and planted it out with my fav Broms. Still have another pallet to put up. Might plant it out with small ferns etc. Hubby wants a couple to plant out with herbs. http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb303/Rudolf24/7437e9cc.jpg View from walking down sideway http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb303/Rudolf24/02a99082.jpg My beautiful Broms. As of this morning chooks are freeranging through the orchard- I finished off the gates yesterday ( a 1500mm stock gate which had to be mounted & have netting put along the bottom to keep chooks from getting through) and relocated the original gate to the old pen. Done-and some very happy hens at our place!
