Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Jan 04, 2011 1:59 pm Hi Experts, Finally getting there with what exactly we are going to do with our frontyard and backyard. As we are in Perth we are opting for native plants at the front of the house. Frontyard is in the north-west direction. Planning to get some lovely grevillias lined with dianella flax lily as a border. Another option to go with Grevilias was bottle brush in between but I am not a big fan of bottle brush. So probably we may end up getting couple of different varieties of grevilleas or something else. Any recommendations on various plant option would be great and much help here. In the center we plan to build 3 planter boxes and planning to put in some kangaroo paws in them. Plan is to keep alternate yellow and red ones. I think a feature plant or tree would look good. Initial options are yuccas or magnolia...if you guys have any other suggestion for feature plants would help me here. Grass tree was an option but a bit expensive. At the back of the house, along the south-west area I would like to get some plants which grow upto 1-2 metres max. This will be planted along the fenceline. Any options suggested would help as my brain has gone dead. I did refer the plant list on water corp website as suggested by Fu...enormous options and bit difficult to choose from. Thought I'd get some inputs from experience of fellow members and experts based on what i am looking for. Thanks a lot and best wishes for new year. Cheers ET Murraya could be a great option for you. It creates a great tall screening hedge but doesn't drop fruit like lily pilly. The flowers smell divine. 2 10418 Hi, Looking to add an ensuite to one of the bedrooms and make it a Master BR.
