Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Dec 22, 2010 3:53 pm Hi Fu, I am building in Banksia Grove, and starting to plan the garden. We get the "Landscaping" package as they call it, but I am very concern with that I have seen done out there, bit of presuming dynamic lifter or black stuff, and I mean a little bit, straight over the yellow sand, then lawn on top, with the plants covered in Black mulch. In terms of soil prep, I have read the posts re lawn etc, but in regards to organic soil conditioners etc is this what I need? http://www.gardenersdirect.com.au/comme ... nt_id=2135 I intend on doing a massive amount of soil prep, ie soil conditioner, seamungus etc etc before they arrive and lay the lawn and put the plants in, but may get them to do the basic plants and good retic and I will do the rest. Besides reading most of the tips on H1 (have read most of the lawn prep topic), and specific tips for Banksia grove and the lovely yellow sand in order to make the garden survive and cost less!! ---- Building in Banksia Grove We have keys - 31st March 2011 New Garden Ideas - NOR Perth 2Dec 22, 2010 11:30 pm Check out a great gardens workshop. Have a look at agonis in new areas. They look ****. Blown over to one side, all sparse on one side and full of foliage the other. There's a road near mine that has been planted by council. Every agonis looks terrible. Other species nearby look great. Agonis do start looking good around Busso. Not this far north. Pears, hmmm I almost feel like posting a few pics of some in gardens I know but best not fpr tje owners sake. I have seen just one nice manchurian near mine that is sheltered and doesn't have sparse foliage, brown crispy leaves. Magnolia little gem. Bauhinia.
