Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Dec 17, 2010 1:57 pm We planning to install a Colorbond post and rail fence over the Christmas break. Quotes vary by hundreds of dollars depending on whether we go with Australian or Imported metal sheets/panels. And we also receive conflicting advice as to whether one is better than the other, or similar quality. Does anyone have advice as to which to choose? We are going with Merino (Paperbark) colour which is available in both types. Apparently this colour doesn't fade as badly as the green colour? We've heard stories of fading, rusting and strength being compromised with imported and don't know what to believe. Planning to stay in this house for min. 10 years. If I am buying something to last me years I look for stuff that comes with reputation for quality.
