We are undecided on how we are going to get some nice grass in our yard. Our rear yard is 14m by 2m and our front yard is 6.5 by 26m APPROX. We are thinking about getting grass seed and doing the whole process ourselves. Has anyone else done this? What was the cost? Also just for comparison what is the cost of turf? You would be surprised the price difference between different suppliers. As for the seed method. - Well I'll let other forum members answer this portion of your question. Have a look at the turf laying thread (it's a long read now but full of good stuff.) I recently followed the directions given on this forum on 50sqm of EZ turf with fantastic results on what was some pretty poor soil to begin with. Best of Luck. Rgds Leonard. If you can't afford roll on, then get a few rolls and plant out bits of them. Choose Empire Zoysia, Village Green, Sir Walter or Palmetto.
