Hey all,
Hope someone has some insight....
We are looking into a septic system and have the choice of using sub soil irrigation OR evaporation trenches.
Has anyone used either of these and what effects do they have on the garden and lawn in the long run.
Appreciate any input or experience as we have no septic experience.
Thankyou
The effects will depend on how disciplined you are with what you use in your kitchen, laundry and bathroom.

One person who is an absolute expert on it is Josh Byrne.

Thanx, I've signed up to his newsletter so hopefully some good tips in there.
Have you used a subsoil irrigation from a septic system previously?
Have you found any limitations to what you can do with the ground? ie ride on mow over, drive a tractor over, plants that work etc.
Thanks for your time
'Soap nuts' what a fantastic product!!
Can anyone help me with what they currently use there septic dispersal area for and what works and doesn't?
WE have had horses now have sheep. They don't seem to mind eating the grass[sheep are very fat]
I would like to have some sheep are dorper sheep the ones that you don't have to shear? A friend recommended them instead of goats (I have heard that goats can be mean)
So yours is just grassed over? No problems with that?
NOt at all.I have had main sewerage when I live in Melbourne,I don't notice any different[except no sewerage rates]
How have you found the running costs?
Anyone give pros or cons on having subsurface irrigation or micro trenches?
Help would be much apprieciated.
