I'm a huge camelia fan, but not an expert gardener. So for two years I've struggled to get my camelias moving. Some are OK, other just haven't added more than a few cms. I must have at least 20.
This year in addition to the usual seasol, organic matter and powerfeed, I've added acid. Acid it seems is the magic ingredient - or at least the acid inducer MiracleGro. Suddnely they're all going nuts !
