Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Oct 29, 2010 12:44 pm I am prepping an area on a slightly sloped backyard to pave an area for a new shed. I have mapped out where I am digging and have made a good start, but I am not too sure what is the best way to ensure I get it as level as possible before putting in the sane/roadbase/pavers etc. Is it with a stringline? Can anyone give me any insight or tips on how best to acheive this? Cheers Anthony Re: Prepping sloped area for paving. 4Nov 04, 2010 11:48 am After enlisting some hired help (father in law) with the levelling and paving ended up with quite a good result. Took a bit of an easy way out instead of digging further to get it cright, just brought some of the fill forward and tapered off with a gentle slope that the grass will hopefully grow back through eventually. Next step is to retain the back and sides with some sleepers & install shed being delivered tomorrow so all coming together nicely. Thanks for the advice.
