Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Oct 24, 2010 6:12 pm Dh is giving me the evil eye now I've put some seamungus pellets down over our beautiful new lawn. Does it all have to be watered in straight away? Or can it get gradually watered in over the next day or so as he does the waterings. ( 3 a day to start with) I'm beginning to panic thinking I should go and remove most of the pellets as I "sort of" over did it by not quite double. it was only when I sat down afterwards with a calculator I realised I was a bit heavy handed. Re: OOps overdid the Seamungus pellets on our new lawn. help 2Oct 24, 2010 6:36 pm Na they will be fine. Water them in and then in a few days after another water, when the pellet is wet through, you should be able to wash it in with the hose and it won't look funny. They have to go soft first then they crumble apart under water pressure. This is why for lawns, I recommend the Seamungus Green crumble. It is easy to wash in and keep the lawn looking tip top. It's only a visual thing that''s all. Re: OOps overdid the Seamungus pellets on our new lawn. help 3Oct 24, 2010 6:53 pm thanks Fu. That's what i figured. It's not that bad. Just scatterings. saves walking on the lawn with seasol for a while. DH is paranoid about walking on it for a while because the handout he has says not to do so. I have yet to convince him to let me give it some molasses as I'd have to walk on it to do so. He did a seasol application on Friday and doesn't want to walk on it at all for a while if he can help it. Re: OOps overdid the Seamungus pellets on our new lawn. help 4Oct 24, 2010 6:58 pm Get some snow shoes Then you can walk on it. I would suggest right now more than ever is the time to use the molasses. It will boost the micro organisms considerably in the soil and they will get that turf settled better than anything! Geeze, if that means a few laps round on it then that's fine. I think that info would be along the lines of rules are for the guidance of wise men (and women) and the obedience of fools as the saying goes They give you that advice because some people would have a bunch of kids who would run feral on it with bikes and all sorts and then complain to the turf people that it isn't perfect. That is how stuff like that comes about Re: OOps overdid the Seamungus pellets on our new lawn. help 5Oct 24, 2010 7:28 pm yeah that's what I figured. said pretty much the same thing to Dh. I'll let him recover from the seamungus worry for a day then get it done. Do some break dancing on it, some head spins, and get that seamungus rubbed in to the skin. That'll get that hair growing again. People will also flock from miles around to admire your breakdancing skills I went outside once. The graphics were alright, but the gameplay sucked!
