Fear not this is not always of a concern.
I am getting lots of questions about perfect semi-circular holes being eaten from rose leaves.
This appears along the margin of the leaf and is usually a crisp edged semi circle shaped
there are two main culprits for this and they are leaf cutter wasps and leaf cutter bees.
They are very hard to treat because they don't actually eat the leaf.
They do no harm to the rose leaf and the plant will function fine.
They are quite good to watch if you ever catch them in the act.
they roll the leaf up under their little legs and off they fly round and round in circles till they get enough height to head off to their new hive they are making from those sections of leaf.
don't search for treatments, just leaf () it alone and it will be fine
