I'll PM you who to call Re: 20kg bags of seamungus 5Oct 08, 2010 11:08 pm I'll let you know what I find out. I've yet to find out where it's stocked for the general public to buy keen. I'll let you know when I know. Re: 20kg bags of seamungus 6Oct 09, 2010 1:33 am Not the size you are after, but the big green shed does sell a 12kg bucket (blue bucket which means pellets). Re: 20kg bags of seamungus 7Oct 09, 2010 2:31 am well that's certainly better than wasting time buying a 2 kg bucket. thanks Re: 20kg bags of seamungus 9Oct 13, 2010 4:03 pm Does anyone know where you can get 20kg bags of seamungus in Melbourne? Re: 20kg bags of seamungus 11Oct 13, 2010 9:52 pm Rural and Agricultural supply places can order this for you guys or they will stock it already. There is also a 40kg bag available over east. It is also available by the tonne. Re: 20kg bags of seamungus 12Nov 11, 2010 9:48 pm Have tried Mirco Bros and Knights in Wanneroo area. Anyone know where you can get these 20kg bags in the Northern suburbs. Can only find the 12kg ones at bunnings. Also can anyone tell me how much of the pellets I should till into the soil before I lay. I have just over 100sqm. Thanks Re: 20kg bags of seamungus 13Nov 11, 2010 10:22 pm it's something like 1/3 a cup per sqm. I got a little carried away when i did ours after the lawn went down. I'm not going to go out and check on the bag but it prob tells you on the bag/bucket from the "big green shed" as well. There is a powdered/pulverised form as well called seamungus green. this would be easier to mix into the soil or sprinkle on top of the lawn. Re: 20kg bags of seamungus 14Nov 11, 2010 10:36 pm No worries, thanks. Yeah I had a look on the tub but I thought the rates might just be for established lawn, just wondering if it is any different for preparing lawn. I was under the impression pellets were better for preparing the soil and then use the crumble for once the lawn is in. Did you manage to find the 20kg bags anywhere? Re: 20kg bags of seamungus 15Nov 12, 2010 1:14 am Yep that is dead right and if you are here in WA something I don't often mention is using "Shades of Green" to maintain the lawn because it is only available in WA at this point, as far as I'm aware Re: 20kg bags of seamungus 16Nov 19, 2010 11:03 pm RedIsotope Not the size you are after, but the big green shed does sell a 12kg bucket (blue bucket which means pellets). I feel like an idiot (not for the first time). I just spent a while researching a place in perth called "Big Green Shed". It turned up lots of results and people seemed to be buying all sorts of stuff there. I thought...this is awesome, I can't wait to find this place as an alternative to where I normally buy stuff.....oh....wait a minute. Big...Green...Shed. Doh. Funnily enough, I found seamungus there too though. Thanks for the tip. Now I feel like part of the in crowd too that I can understand codewords Re: 20kg bags of seamungus 18Dec 01, 2010 5:39 pm cmooring I thought...this is awesome, I can't wait to find this place as an alternative to where I normally buy stuff.....oh....wait a minute. Big...Green...Shed. Doh. LOL This post has made my day. You can blame Fu for this because I learnt this 'codeword' from him. I do wonder though, if anyone ever started up a company called 'The Big Green Shed', whether they'd get any aggro for it. Hmmm... Re: 20kg bags of seamungus 20Dec 02, 2010 1:56 pm OK back to the topic What does seamungus DO?? Is it instead of blood and bone? Powerfeed? Soil wetter? As well as? I searched through all posts author: Fu Manchu (of course ) and keyword: seamungus and... colour me confused. Says it helps with humic acids (hope I am quoting correctly here...) which I understand feeds the essential biology in the soil. But so do all these other things, so what's the difference here? while we're at it, what's the difference between the function of blood and bone, seasol and powerfeed? |
