Sure beats the pants of paying $35 for a 12kilo bucket at the big green shed! I'm thinking about throwing some around all my plants this weekend. My roses are going nuts because they got a dose of blood n bone just over 10 days ago. Re: Sufficiently sufficient..... 65Oct 26, 2010 8:24 pm I was a teeny bit excited! I'm planning to throw it around on Sunday-I'll have to be kind to the few roses that I put in out t he front months ago too! Leafy Lettuces nearly ready to start picking leaves from... After receiving 70+mm of rain over the weekend, I decided that this morning was a good day to spread more Seamungus around the rose bed at the front of the block and the orchard at the back-grow you good things! I noticed though, that the nectarine tree has leaf curl- I didn't spray because I hoped that because it was a new plant and the soil was virgin pasture that there would be no spores.. Bu@@er.......... You can only treat it when the buds swell and are about to burst out on the stems in late winter/early spring. Spray with copper oxychloride. Re: Sufficiently sufficient..... 72Nov 09, 2010 12:46 pm ^^^Thanks Fu- I knew I couldn't do anything now, just miffed that I need to at all! I was just checking the packets of seeds I have and I've got Watermelons "Golden Midget"and "Sugar Baby" plus rockmelons "Eden's Gem"and "Prescott Fond Blanc" ! I just picked my first snow peas from my one plant. They didn;' even make it inside as I ate them with rain falling down around me as I picked basil and baby spinach for my lunch sandwich. thanks for getting me inspired Dee. hugzzzzzzzzz mm and there's another half grown waiting to be munched and I went and got some strawberry plants too after seeing yours all planted out. Re: Sufficiently sufficient..... 76Nov 10, 2010 11:15 am Awwww......kexkez that is so sweet of you! I'm finding that I munch radishes a lot more often these days-they are so crisp straight from the ground (well, once you give them a dust off! ) I planted bean, watermelon, cucumber and rockmelon seeds today- and I'll have to plant more eggplants because something took a liking to the whole of the 8 seedlings I planted the other day! Between the two types of critters they have managed to decimate the eggpland AND the capsicum seedlings! I now have plastic barriers created from milk cartons to go around future plantings.... Today we planted sweetcorn and put birdnetting over the two raised strawberry beds. The Aromas strawberries are covered with fruit and the Kunawase & Cambridge Rivals are also starting to set some.
