I thought that I would start a thread in here (because my build thread doesn't seem to generate much interest! ).
We have purchased a block of just under an acre in South West Victoria. The plan has been to build the house and have enough of a fruit & vegetable garden that our purchasing of said items is at a minimum-with a focus on growing "Heritage" varieties. Chooks are part of the plan.
The house took a while to get started, so I've spent most of the Winter marking out garden beds and planting bare rooted fruit trees.
To date we have planted the following fruit:
Cherries
Pears
Plums
Apples
Fig
Apricot
Nectarine
Mulberry
Lemon
Quince
Raspberries
Blueberries
Strawberries
Rhubarb (technically a vegie!)
