Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Oct 01, 2010 2:16 pm hi i laid some kings pride buffalo roughly 4 weeks ago. and in some spots it doesnt look like the roots have taken to the soil as yet. some spots look ok. the night i laid the turf we had a big storm and we had 90mm of rain. some of the rolls looked in better condition than others, eg some rolls had more sand holding the roots than others seemed to have. so im not sure if this is efecting the root penetration to the soil or not. i rolled the turf when i laid it, i had good soil prep, im watering every day. the warm weather here hasnt kicked in yet (vic). what should i do, should i top dress. any tips would be great. cheers mark.. No amount of soil prep could allow for that. I would say top dress with fine compost/sand mix, try to cover up roots, and keep the water up to it, light soaking waters trather than heavy ones. Plenty weak mixes of seasol too. Good luck. Re: calling , fu or anyone i need help........... turf troub 4Oct 02, 2010 10:46 am Keen I need not say a word They using concrete or timber sleepers?
