When we bought this block, it was part of a re-development area, old houses had been knocked down in a joint venture with council and developer for house/land packages.
Anyway after the block was cleared, these little plants kept re-surfacing, obviously from something that had been grown in previous garden - we dug out and transplanted in a few places around our new garden - all took, hardy plain green plant now about 2 feet high, with sharp spiky leaves, good for background rows.
Anyway this morning there I was in my front garden when Whoa!! - noticed this big spike from the middle and looks about to burst into flower.
No idea what the plants are though - suppose it would be good to know if any plant gurus are out there?
