The things you will learn are second to none. Peter is a very inspirational chap Re: Where to find certified organic soil in Sydney?? 22Feb 28, 2012 6:09 pm Hi All. I emailed kimbriki and they pointed me to ANL. I emailed ANL. In response to my request for "certified organic soil conditioner", they quoted me the following products: Re-Build - $58.00 per cubic metre Re-Carb Essence - $50.00 per cubic metre Turf Underlay - $55.00 per cubic metre With their "recommendation" being the "Turf Underlay". I've asked for more details on the difference between them. Or should I go for the most expensive one "Re-Build" Also, on my request for sand, they quoted me: River Sand - $67.00 per tonne I need 4 cubic meter. Not sure how many tonnes that would be. I've asked them for tonnes to cubic meter conversion. Wondering if you folks would recommend one soil over the other? Thanks. Re: Where to find certified organic soil in Sydney?? 23Feb 29, 2012 12:42 pm Reply from ANL: Quote: Rebuld is a NASAA Certified Organic Product. It is a Certified Organic Soil Conditioner, which is a blend of source selected composted products rich in beneficial microbes and organic nutrients. Recarb Essence is one of our Carbon Gardening Products. It is a rich humus, organic compost which is specifically designed to build soil carbon levels and soil microbial activity. Suitable for all plants, this compost is particularly beneficial for phosphorous sensitive Australian Natives. Apply 75mm and dig into tired, nutrient poor soils. This is not a BFA or NASAA product. So looks like Re-Build it is (I guess there is a reason why it is the most expensive of their soil products) Re: Where to find certified organic soil in Sydney?? 24Feb 29, 2012 12:47 pm A question about the "sand" to mix with my clay soil. I was quoted $67 per tonne for "river sand". Is it meant to be this expensive? Even more expensive (per cubic meter) than the organic soil? I think I need 4m3 of sand which equates to 5.6 tonnes. Pricey stuff!!! Re: Where to find certified organic soil in Sydney?? 26Mar 02, 2012 7:45 am badshaaa A question about the "sand" to mix with my clay soil. I was quoted $67 per tonne for "river sand". Re: Re: Where to find certified organic soil in Sydney?? 27Mar 02, 2012 9:46 am ravenhard just be aware that the minimum order for the re-build soil is 15m3 Checked with their Badgery Creek office. They don't mind orders of one cubic meter and above. So looks like the organic soil is sorted out for me. ANL person said he is willing to give a discount when I order the whole lot from them. 0 4975 I am not sure whether Perth has its own way of doing things in regards to this. Most of Perth has class A (sandy soil), except for some areas near rivers or hills. 2 13091 We were lucky in that our old house was so small (86 square metres) compared to the new house, they were able to take enough readings around the old backyard house before… 8 37139 |
