Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Sep 12, 2010 10:07 pm ....in SA i live in a unit and need: - my front Kikuyu lawn ripped up and replaced with some less invasive and appropriate turf. lawn is about 1.5 x 10 m - some edging installed around the perimeter - some paving maintenance done on existing paving in the area - a drip watering system installed for the garden bed which ****** in front and to the side of the lawn (about 12sq meters, 1 x 12) - some appropriate plants chosen and installed in the garden bed to create a hedge - removal of kikuyu from the garden bed i realize there are some really expensive landscapers out there who specialize in large properties in dress circle suburbs or commercial estates. i dont want one of these types of landscaper because the area is small and i dont have mega bucks to pay....but i dont want a so-called cowboy either what is a ball park estimate for this kind of work? and...what kind of landscaper should i contact? Like is going to need treatment first by a professional with fusilade. That will kill it absolute. Then dug and removed. May need machinery to do so cost needs to thought of. Turf would be either deep rooted ez, pal, or sw. Certorganic soil @ 100 a cube. Retic done well would be around 2 at a guess. Gee whiz you could go from 3 to 15 depending on landscaper. Of you want high end a design and install could be far more than those numbers. Review the stickies. Think about your ideas, do some sketches and meet with designers and landscapers. This may cost.
