Hi, all.
After two months away we returned to home to Melbourne to find an entire family of snails - and I mean several generations, judging by the variation in size - have set up their commune in our yukkas; but only the green ones, not the maroon ones (if they are yukkas too).
I tried snail bait but that doesn't cut it - doesn't reach them way down in the core of the plant. I figure the only way to get them out of there is to pour something on them, by dribbling some liquid down there.
They are sucking the life out of the plants and just lopping some of the smaller leaves straight across. I would be glad to hear if anyone has any ideas. The plants are about a metre high so they can probably take a fair bit of knocking around, but I think the little devils would kill them eventually.
