Righto you H1 'ers, I want some good ideas here, something awesome.
I need a good small tree and underplantings for a Geraldton beachside front yard location - very exposed to strong full sun, strong winds, and a bit of salt. The planting theme is going to be native, other selected plants are Ficinia nodosa, Grevillea Gingin Gem, Eremophilia Kalbarri carpet, Acacia littorea (if I can get one), Alygyone Huegelli' West coast Gem'.
Tree to say 4m, and any other awesome natives shrubs or ground covers that would suit, but mainly the tree. Must be AWESOME.
Oh, and there is a rockery too.
The landscaping which has already been done is VERY straight-lines-brick-paving-plastic-grass McGarden style. I am not going to alter this just try to make the most of it with some AWESOME plantings once you guys suggest them.
BTW - I have started a garden design buisness and these suggestions are for my first (paid) job, just to be transparent.
Here's a photo.
