turf prices

ive been ringing around to find the best prices for the turf im after.

palmetto or kings pride.

the going rate for these is from $10 to $ 11 per metre.
im from victoria.

ive come across this turf farm that is selling both these for $5.50 per metre.
how good is that.
there is a catch they dont deliver.
its about a 4 hour drive for me but still im saving around $600.
i need 130 metres.

so im just asking how does this price sound to you.

how does this compare, to prices australia wide

I just paid $2330 for 465m2 of buffalo/couch mix...delivered and laid. I am in Far North Qld.

Watch the prices jump from sept 1st when the new turf watering exemption kicks in.

i was quoted from one place

130 metres of kings pride , delivered $ 1450.

they had to travel 180 kays..

That is a decent price, where from?

Can't find to many places that have palmetto, might have to get some from bunnings unless anyone knows of a place south east melbourne that sells palmetto?

you will have to pick it up yourself.

Thanks guys, but I think I will go to bunnings and get it from there, The other turf places are much too far.

Just paid $3.30 per metre for Wintergreen here in Brisbane. And that price included delivery!

I bet in never includes the price of the maintenance you will fork out on constant mowing and struggling to keep it from the garden beds though. Weed sprays etc and garden edgers.
Cheap to buy and very expensive to maintain Like owning a Formula One car.
However follow along the path of my methods and you will reduce all that as best as possible
