Nothing like having fresh veggies in the garden!! That's a big backyard, your kids have so much room to run and play Re: Fairy Blues Landscaping - new pics pg 4 68Jan 21, 2011 8:59 am We have only had the vegie garden for less than a week. It is the Birdies brand ones. Alot cheaper than other similiar ones but you have to assemble them yourself. That garden bed came in 10 pieces! Lots of screws and washers. It was worth it in the $ savings though and we just made the kids help put them together. So far we are very happy with it. The size of the block is what made us buy. It is one of two end court blocks and over 1000m2. The kids have had ball in the backyard now that the grass has taken off. We have had nerf wars, slip and slides and backyard cricket. Great aussie fun! Re: Fairy Blues Landscaping - new pics pg 4 70Jan 21, 2011 10:40 am Can I ask what you've put on the ground under your trampolines? Love the vegie gardens, that's what we'll be doing as well! Re: Fairy Blues Landscaping - new pics pg 4 71Jan 21, 2011 10:58 am kek You've been busy, FB! We sure have! That's the benefit of being teachers and having time off over summer. Purple Butterfly Can I ask what you've put on the ground under your trampolines? Love the vegie gardens, that's what we'll be doing as well! We have used softfall mulch, the same as you see in playgrounds and school yards. Just one little thing: You weren't supposed to show our (lack of ) handyman skills at the back of those screens!! (Although in saying that they have stayed up through some pretty interesting weather for about 7 months now!) Re: Fairy Blues Landscaping - new pics pg 4 76Nov 12, 2011 2:50 pm We have been busy with a few landscaping finishing touches. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I love our fire pit area, with the rustic timber bench seats. We used it alot over the cooler months having camp oven and spit roasts. We've build a chook run, bought a secondhand cubby house for their home and painted it. We will get some chooks in the next few weeks. Check out my neighbours solar panels! We have also added a garden bed around the fence line and planted some pittosporum (sorry Fu ) for privacy. Re: Fairy Blues Landscaping - new pics pg 4 78Nov 12, 2011 4:53 pm It is cute! We didn't set out to make it cute, it just kinda happened. We LOVE our fire pit. We have created two outside alfresco areas, one for summer and one for winter - perfect for entertaining all year round!! Re: Fairy Blues Landscaping - new pics pg 4 79Nov 12, 2011 8:28 pm I still love that firepit! Chook area will be fantastic too- I luuurve our girls! It would look fantastic if you were going to. You could very safely include 5 small trees about the lawn area. I ended up going with 'Andrew Belic Construction Co.' https://www.instagram.com/andrewbelicconstruction/ 2 59643 Hmmm, I have checked your past posts and it seems that you are in NSW, not WA as I had thought. It pays to show your State in your avatar.
