Lots of ideas in our heads built around 'no rear lawn' and easy to maintain whilst keeping with a structured landscape/traditional plants. Downsizing in the last 10 years from over an acre of manicured garden to 700 sq metres and now 450 sq metres has been a challenge. We've achieved our dream of a good size home on an easy care size allotment. Ideas for your landscape. 103Feb 05, 2013 10:01 am Here is a recent job we completed. The garden needed to be relaxing space with a strong tropical feel as it is near the beach. We have used dense plantings of glossy tropical foliage plants and used a wide palate of contrasting forms and foliage colours. Here's a couple of pics to share of our garden. It's been a work in progress for a few years now from when it was a vacant block. We are nearly there but still have a few areas to finish. Moo - (thats the nick name for my daughter ) Your garden shows and proves that a beautiful garden takes time and a lot of love but so worth it. Kexkez - Thats a great website esp how it shows that you can build a vertical garden out of recycled products. Ive been pondering how to build one without spending a fortune. Perfect for a feature wall, even as a partician wall. It seems to be made out of use plastic crates from a fruit shop or super market. Now to just suss out what else to put in it. Probley rockwool or such and a good watering system. Then convert it into a aquaponics system. Wow they come out with fab vegies! Anyone out there with aquaponics systems? Pics hints etc? Hubby wants to ban me from visiting nurseries as I can always find one or two or three new plants that I want to add or change. Where's the pouting icon.
