Good Morning to all,
I need some advice on my property.
I am going to get my site cut done by a family member and they recommend a complete cut as opposed to a cut and fill. I’m ok with this and it’s a love job and won’t cost me anymore anyway. My guess is a full cut without a fill will mean my retaining walls will be taller but he assures me I will get a better foundation this way.
I’m situated on a hill and the high side (slope) is from the right hand side of my property to the left.
The problem is next door yesterday have just completed a cut and fill and all of there soil has been pushed onto a part of my property not by much and am not to concerned about this as my Uncle can move this for me. But it looks like its now going to increase my retaining wall size by roughly 300mm. What’s the deal with this, are there rules if they increase there soil height from original with a cut and fill are they to help me pay for my retaining wall as I now will need to make them higher to accommodate there fill on that side of the block?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
