Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Jul 12, 2010 10:57 am We are considering using crushed Cowra White mixed with cement with no oxide added for exposed agggregate paths and driveway. We are unable to find an example of this laid. Has anyone used it and does anyone have pictures? Does it look good? We have seen it at supplier but we will be his first to buy, so no examples in the area. It blends well with house and tile colours. Re: Exposedaggregate - crushed Cowra White - has anyone used 2Jul 12, 2010 12:00 pm Well not as exposed but for polished concrete yes. But it is a fair bit away from you. I'd be suggesting the exposed will be sharp on feet and knees... as you say the Cowara is crushed, so it has 'pointy bits'. I don't know about grey though(cement colour) I figure it needs a cream or titanium oxide to finish the colour. Just my opinion Where you are coming from is where you are going to... Re: Exposedaggregate - crushed Cowra White - has anyone used 3Jul 12, 2010 6:14 pm Thanks - we were in Margaret River last year but too far for a return. Thanks for the advice - lots of aggregate is crushed to make it less slippery, have looked at smooth, rounded and crushed laid in other colours and crushed is not too rough. I bet Cowra White looks great in polished concrete - did you colour the concrete with oxide? Re: Exposedaggregate - crushed Cowra White - has anyone used 4Jul 12, 2010 7:09 pm Well the polished concrete was a sample for a client and it was in Lithgow. So not as far away as you thought The sample(s) had varing colour combos. First was standard grey with titanium and 'corn' @ 2 %, then 4%, then at 6 %. It was interesting to see the result even though it was a rush job and had next to zero time to cure. poured, ground and polished in 3 days So a bit of the finish was substandard but gave an indication of the result all things being equal. Oh now was it Marangaroo eek! I need to refer to the details Cowara was the first choice, we might have gone for Marangaroo... I will have to get back to you on that...Soz Where you are coming from is where you are going to...
