Hello all,
We're arranging for our side fence along a boundary where we need retaining walls-- higher on our side at the front and their side at the back. They're not keen on the fence sitting on top of the wall as they would be looking at the wall on their side (fair enough).
So, the plan is to just get the fence put in along the natural slope and we'll do our walls on our side. The catch is we only have 2.5 m between the boundary and the house, which runs parallel, and we want vehicle access through there to the rear! Obviously we can't afford to lose much space inside the fence line to retaining walls.
So to cut a long story short, how far in to our property will we need to set the retaining wall to avoid interfering with the footings of the colourbond fence?
