The one near the fireplace is a patterned one in black white and silver and grey and is around the $650 mark made by ITI Rugs (wholesale) it's a gorgeous rug indeed. Re: Remember "The General" 42May 16, 2010 7:16 pm Suh, I quite like the darker one as well-otherwise I'd like to see a blue to tie in with The General-he's so impressive that a link between him and the indoor life would be wonderful! I love it so much, all of your selections, furniture, homewares etc are beautiful. I've seen photos of parts of your house since being on here, but seeing the house all together like that just made me love it more! Thankyou kara, I feel very fortunate to have this at my time of life, meaning grown kids etc and there is nothing I would change...except the red youknowwhat...we did start off modestly in our younger years, but we loved what we had then too, we have never expected or wanted anything more than our budget could handle and we were always more than satisfied Deemaree Suh, I quite like the darker one as well-otherwise I'd like to see a blue to tie in with The General-he's so impressive that a link between him and the indoor life would be wonderful! Yes he did Dee and I said ok because I hadn't really let him have any red anywhere else....he wanted a red lounge ...but now The General's done up he can see the error of his ways and agrees a nice aqua would tie it all together down there, you can see the pool from that room and WE HAVE NO RED ANYWHERE ELSE *sigh* Re: Remember "The General" 48May 17, 2010 8:21 am As long as he has now repented.... I'm off to drop DD at school bye! I read something the other day about colour perception and colour blindness and there's some genetic thing that makes some of us actually see MORE colours in the spectrum and others see LESS. Women in general tend to have better colour perception - must be a XX chromosome thing. Now I know why my husband can't tell the difference between blue, aqua, teal and green. Or co-ordinate his tie and shirt without my help. Anyway, I had a point in popping in here. What was it....? Oh: what's at the end of your kitchen, lovely? I know you have pantry and fridge at one end, but I need to know what's at the other? Need, you hear? Re: Remember "The General" 51May 17, 2010 10:35 pm Stunning, stunning home!!! Love everything! The bathroom basins are gorgeous. The exterior is amazing. I would never want to go to work. It looks like a holiday home.
