Hi All,
I have 1 really big phoenix palm tree which is on the side of my house. The tree is about 13 metres and this tree sits in between of my house and my neighbour.
The problem starts when the ibis birds start nesting on top of my tree. They drop lots of sticks (I think for making a nest) and they do drop all their 'poo' which is really smelly and it's not good for health:(
Also another thing, my neighbour complained that this palm trunk drop to their roof and make their roof leaking.
So I think, the best way to cut down the tree but it costs really expensive. I got lots of quote (about 10) and their range are from $3500 to $5500 since the tree sit too close in between 2 houses so they need a crane.
I found it's really expensive to cut the tree and wondering if anyone can suggest any cheaper arborist to cut the tree or even suggest some other way to:
1. not having the bird coming over to my tree
2. not having the trunk drop to my neighbour's roof
I have thought to trim the trunk since it's cheaper which is around $800 - $1200 but the trunk will grow and again drop to my neighbour roof.
Your suggestions are welcomed guys
Note: I am living in campsie nsw 2194 and the tree is inside my property. Someone told me to ask council to help cut the tree but I think it costs more.
