Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 May 06, 2010 2:40 pm Hi Guys, Not sure if anyone's recently completed landscaping but i wanted to know where to get those wood strips that you put in the soil to create landscaping boundaries n all ? .. I'm sure its not a treated/expensive wood you wanna buy from Bunnings .. so does anyone know where to get them from in Sydney/Sydney North West? The other option is to use bricks to create boundaries which we're opting against as it will take up too much space and will be too bold for our simple landscaped yard Any help is appreciated! --- I don't have a signature - just this sentence saying that I don't have one - that'll do! Re: Wood to separate landscaping strips/areas? 2May 06, 2010 5:04 pm You can buy jarrah edging from garden supplies, but they do rot over a few years being thin timber and they do bend and warp. You can also get treated pine edging, better to go 75 x 25mm or 75 x 38mm, you get a straight edge that lasts quite a while, just peg and screw it every metre or so to keep it in shape. You can also get the aluminium link edge which you buy in lengths and can also bend around corners and peg into the ground. Apart from that as you said, you could also use bricks, pavers, concrete, etc as an edging too.
