Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Sep 27, 2007 5:30 pm Not sue how the rest of you fair up in summer…..but us on the South Coast of NSW get hit pretty bad with water restriction. That’s so we can supply ALL of SYDNEY with OUR water…….
Out of curiosity….what water saving solutions have you come up with…if any, to save water at your home? Are you water conscious for your gardens….I know a lot of you don’t like to garden, but I for one would rather do without a shower to put water on my gardens…………..hahahahah NOT!!!! Just kidding! When I wash up I have a little plastic tub in my sink, that tub collects every bit of water I use, even pealing potatoes, then it goes out onto my herbs and potted plants. I have an extension on my washing machine outlet hose, out the window onto my lemons. Any other good suggestions? BUT I always thought you WERE the she in the partnership? I have no idea why I though that…..come to think of it, that’s why you made comment on putting a photo up of yourself, having all the girls stalk you! I have short showers and I time my husband in the shower and constantly remind him how long he has been in there. I have a container by the kitchen sink for every stray bit of water to go onto my plants. Re: WATER RESTRICTIONS! 11Sep 27, 2007 6:06 pm brittany Vanderlay, I love your house and love your use of black and dark colours. It must be because you have such good taste that I thought you had to be female . Dont go sucking up now....Im going home to sit in my pyjamas, eat a big tub of ice cream, paint my toenails and watch dirty dancing on dvd!! Oh, and if anyone wants to come over for a pillowfight in our underwear then you're very welcome Built Porter Davis "Dromana" 2007. Re: WATER RESTRICTIONS! 12Sep 27, 2007 6:06 pm Vanderlay,,,,,I’ve worked out why I thought you were a female!
While dealing with different genders on a forum, I tend to be a little more open with the girls, or who I think is a girl if gender is dropped along the way. I hold back with the men….a couple in here excluded as we all know! I would hate the think that my openness towards the men could be taken the wrong way….say flirtatious??? You have always come across as someone very easy to talk to….so to me a girl! So thumbs up to you, you must be a really easy going guy! My parent's bought a huge square bucket/tub that they have in the shower (they stand in it) and once they are done they can bucket the water out to the garden. Not sure I'd go to those measures though. I once knew someone that filled up a jug inside from the tap during phase 4 restrictions to water her herbs... can't remember her name though ~Ray. Second Time 'Round Re: WATER RESTRICTIONS! 17Sep 27, 2007 6:21 pm I don’t filter my water; it just goes straight onto the plants…..they love it!
As far as drinking more alcohol goes…..trust me I’m doing the best I can there! Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: WATER RESTRICTIONS! 18Sep 27, 2007 6:27 pm I guess this is NOT what I would like to see!
