He has earned so much in this chat ! By the way, why the green Bios have double silver bags? Is that to protect the granules from hot weather? Re: Has anyone seen Olsen's Green Bio around Melbourne? 24Apr 24, 2010 7:02 pm Nott Is blood and bone a fertilizer ? I just know it's a slow release and low Phorphorus stuff. This is what Peter Cundall said about it: Quote: Now my favourite - blood and blooming bone and it's a fantastic fertiliser. Do you know why it's so good? Because the blood meal contains slow release nitrogen, and the bone meal is full of calcium and phosphorus It's a bit smelly, but really good stuff. Quick question - I noticed in the lawn prep sticky thread Fu said use "blue" before laying turf or "green" after... what's the diff? and which is the one Fu pictured? We're about to prep for front turf. I'm also going to check out some of the agricultural suppliers in Werribee South to see if they stock zeolite or spongolite because Bulleen is a fair hike for us on the West. Second Time 'Round Re: Has anyone seen Olsen's Green Bio around Melbourne? 27Nov 16, 2010 3:13 pm Oh dear, now I'm confusing myself... it was Seamungus he was saying about green and blue! Is that available at Bunnings? Second Time 'Round Re: Has anyone seen Olsen's Green Bio around Melbourne? 29Nov 16, 2010 11:56 pm Use the pellets under the turf, use the crumble on the surface in a few weeks. If you use the pellets, they stay on the lawn. Looks ****! Re: Has anyone seen Olsen's Green Bio around Melbourne? 30Nov 17, 2010 7:57 pm Hi, everyone, sorry to jump the line. I have tried the Bunning in Mascot, Sydney, NSW, they said it was a "deleted item" and they did not carry anymore, how strange. I told them that someone has just got that from Bunning weeks before, and they called their supplier, no stock at all....... anyone from Sydney got it? Thanks Re: Has anyone seen Olsen's Green Bio around Melbourne? 31Nov 17, 2010 10:56 pm If you can't find Olsens, then start using this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=havfmMw4GIc http://bioasis.com.au/ http://bioasis.com.au/index.php?option= ... &Itemid=57 Bactivate, this is why I crap on about soil health and not bloody fertilisers all the time... Re: Has anyone seen Olsen's Green Bio around Melbourne? 32Nov 18, 2010 7:09 am Meant to say i saw Olsens Green Bio at Bunnings on a clearance shelf for $5.00 - they had heaps of them!! I think it is usually around $25.00 My karma ran over your dogma Re: Has anyone seen Olsen's Green Bio around Melbourne? 33Nov 18, 2010 11:46 am haywgl Meant to say i saw Olsens Green Bio at Bunnings on a clearance shelf for $5.00 - they had heaps of them!! Build Thread Re: Has anyone seen Olsen's Green Bio around Melbourne? 34Nov 18, 2010 1:05 pm I went to the local farm supplies, but was told that the local market gardeners don't use either zeolite or spongolite. He seemed quite interested as to what it does, so maybe he might get some of the farmers onto it. I'm sure they would give it a go if it saved them water. Looks like I'll be hunting some of the other Bunnings stores in search of the Olsen's and Seamungus. ( Original price $14.xx) Bought it and found it the same batch ( No.:1 at the inner bag, the manufactur date is 200704 sth and it has a " expiry day" of 3 year). After some conversation with the staff, and with the receipt and some time waiting, I got refund. If you do want to try, buy a bag and open at the scene, check the batch date at the bottom of the inner bag. You could not find that detail in the outer bag. Re: Has anyone seen Olsen's Green Bio around Melbourne? 38Nov 18, 2010 10:24 pm Guys just use Bactivate instead http://bioasis.com.au/index.php?option= ... &Itemid=61 Re: Has anyone seen Olsen's Green Bio around Melbourne? 39Nov 19, 2010 8:36 am after doing quite a bit of searching i managed to get onto a supplier who suggested using bactivate over olsens biogreen. apparently very similar, but the bactieria/micro thingys in the bactivate is loaded and ready to go once it is activated by air/water or soil. also was advised to use a liquid carbon. has anyone used this product and had any success? Re: Has anyone seen Olsen's Green Bio around Melbourne? 40Nov 19, 2010 11:36 am It annoys me as much as you that some of these things are pretty hard to find and that many of the people you encounter about them stare blankly more often than not. Stick with it folks because this sort of thing is new school methods sort of and absolutely worth the effort. I can only hope that from what I have posted here for you gives you the chance to teach a few some things Hi All, we are starting to think of building with Masterpiece Builders in Victoria, has anyone had any feedback or experience with them 0 13567 Hi we are looking to talk to people who have built with them recently. We have signed mid range built contract but identified that a lot of things are not included.… 0 641 There is evidence of water on the head reveals. That could have happened during the build, or may be happening currently. There are water stains above a couple of windows… 2 3819 |
