Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Apr 20, 2010 4:59 pm Hi everyone, Just got a question for everyone thats built or in the middle of building in The Ponds: I'm wondering with the landscape plans if anyone has drawn them up themselfs or had a landscaper to draw them up for them? I know that the board are very picky and there are alot of details that need to be in the landscape plans and it also needs to show front, sides and rear landscaping... I'm looking at drawning the landscape plans up myself just to save $600 odd dollars... Dave. __________________________ Building the Concerto with Allorth Homes @ The Ponds Our blog Noddy @ The Ponds http://noddytheponds.blogspot.com PM me re Landscape Plans Re: Landscape plans for The Ponds 2Apr 20, 2010 7:51 pm You can do it yourself just refer to the design guidelines. The plan also has to show all the way to the street gutter including street trees, letterbox and Turf to the crossover/ footpath/ nature strip. I think mine is on my blog or thread if you need s guide to start. If you have a copy of your site plan from the builder it will be easier for you. Also give some good though to your plants cause they will deduct money from your landscape rebate if you do not complete the landscaping as per the plans. Will have a look for the version that has these extra things and post it if I find it. Do you have any tips for us to get it through the Ponds Review? Thanks for posting your plan Min - definitly helped us with a starting point. Did you include details of the plants sizes / how the will be planted etc? Thanks Vicky Re: Landscape plans for The Ponds 8May 06, 2010 12:36 pm Quote: Did you include details of the plants sizes / how the will be planted etc? No, we didnt list plant size on the plan and it was never questioned but we did have a planting schedule on a separte page that I did list pot size for. I also googled pics of the plants and added them as well just in a word doc. Quote: Do you have any tips for us to get it through the Ponds Review? We were bounced by PDRP twice before it was passed on the 3rd attempt. A few of our issues were architectural (thanks to our unresolved parapets). And needed window shading or upgraded glazing to all West and North facing windows. Tip: get the guidelines and get someone else or a few other people to double check. Some things we were bounced for * not showing turf on the nature strip * had to have a garden shed even though internal storage was clearly marked * all plants must be in an edged garden bed * needed to add additional planting to our back and side boundaries. * must show the street tree is 1.6m from the edge of the driveway. * The front boundary hedge planting is to be continuous across the front boundaryexcluding the driveway and any pedestrian pathway. * The 2 small trees are to be located behind thefront boundary hedge planting. * retaining wall height must be listed (we didnt have one) * concrete colour must be listed and plain concrete to cross over must be shown. Good Luck. If you want to post it we can check it for you.
