Hi guys,
I lugged the rolls, my wife insisted on unrolling them and allegedly butted them up against each other ... day 1, Saturday - it all looked great.
But then to my shock and horror the next day I found 1-3 cm gaps all over the place! I can hear the weeds coming already.
Will the turf repair and cover those gaps or will they always be a headache? Is there anything I can do to mitigate?
- Pick it up and move it (radical?)
- There's some spare rolls left, should I try to cut shreds and fill the larger gaps?
- Should I just fill the gaps with soil, the garden bed (GoldBlend) is fuller then I wanted anyway?
2. When should we start applying Seasol / Powerfeed / Mollasis?
BTW is it normal Seasol or the "Lawnfeed" version I should be using?
Please note, I couldn't get Fu's magic certified organic soil around here, so I went with a rotary hoe plus "TurfSpecial" soil from http://soilco.com.au - which has some fertiliser already in it.
3. Watering an hour a day, is that too much?
Many thanks,
Ryder.
