Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Apr 18, 2010 6:36 pm We've recently bought a house in the ACT, which we love, but it is on a fairly busy (minor) road and our driveway enters the road into a small roundabout. I'd like to create a turn around in my front yard. Just enough for our car to reserve into, turn around (obviously!) and drive nose out, so we don't have to back into the roundabout. We have plenty of space for this. This project looks like it will involve some earth leveling and the removal of a few small trees. I haven't really thought about cosmetic/surfacing aspects. Initially i thought i might just leave it as bare earth, and maybe edge it with some stones - unless there was an easy, relatively attractive and cheap surfacing option (crushed stone?) Has anyone taken on a job like this, or hired someone to do it, that could give me a few pointers? cheers! Very nifty, you get to keep most of your front yard, and you could repeat the circle design as a motif. Do the hard jobs first.
