Anyone have some ideas for a substitute for pelargonium/geranium? I've got a mediterranean style garden going on out the back and love the bright, permanently flowering look of the geraniums - it wouldn't really look mediterranean without them to my mind - but there's a snag - I friggin hate the things. They stink.
So I need something similar in look that's a perennial small bush with long flowering season (preferably red flowers) that's almost unkillable but can take a bit of water as it's under some ornamental pears that are going to need good water for the next couple of summers.
I'm sort of looking at vincas but haven't seen a red one.
