Firstly thanks to everyone for sharing their vast wealth of knowledge on here. I've been totally engrossed for the past few days.
About this time last year I dug up our sorry excuse for a lawn and tried to grow a new one from seed. I used Munns Arid Smart Grass, a tall fescue. It went great guns over last winter and then spring and was looking fantastic, until the heat of summer hit. Within the space of a few weeks, most of the grass was dead, and no amount of watering and seasol could save it.
My lawn is now green again, but it is almost all clover, with hardly any of the orginal fescue left.
Did I use the wrong grass, what else could have gone wrong with this??? And is it salvagable, or do i need to start again and lay a turf this time??? Problem is that it is a large lawn area ~ 280m2.
I'm in Sydney by the way. Thanks in advance for your help.
