I figure after the last frost would be the right time? Also, how far back do I cut them?? I was thinking the grevillia's I would trim back and shape a bit, the kanga paws to cut the old flowers off at the base and no idea on the purple fountain grass 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' The soil starts to warm and the plants respond favourably. Doesn't matter about fountain grass, you'll be digging it out in a few years anyway Cut that bugger right to the ground It will bounce back with nice fresh growth Use the cut off stuff on the ground as mulch and cover over with thick layers of either straw or fresh tree mulch.
