Hi All,
I'm sure everyone's seen the news and the pics of how much carnage the storms in Perth caused overnight. Driving to work today, trees were down absolutely everywhere and many gardens destroyed.
Many of the (uprooted) trees I saw had pretty poor (shallow / small) root systems for such huge trees. It really made it clear to me how important it is to ensure the trees we plant have every chance of developing good, strong root systems! Plant and maintain your trees sensibly and correctly... or you could seriously damage your house, car or family members in 10 years! We can't do much about the council's trees, but we can try to minimise the potential damage our own trees could do!
