Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Mar 23, 2010 5:19 pm We have just recently laid a new lawn, Palmetto and it is only about 4 weeks old. We have had some weed problem onion grass and the Kurnell Curse which I have now had advise on to get rid of, but the other day my Husband used Weed and Feed on the lawn. I noticed the lawn starting to yellow so went into the garage and read the instructions on the bottle and it clearly states not to be used on Buffalo grass. Is there any chance of reducing the damage and saving the lawn my husband has now poisoned??? Re: Weed and Feed on Palmetto Lawn, any saving it? 2Apr 01, 2010 1:26 am All you needed to do was have a read on Homeone and reviewed many of my posts on the topic and you'd have got some of the very best advise available Lots of seasol. Powerfeed and most important of all is molasses! Search the forum for how to use or there is a link in the veggie thread up top It will be fine. What ever you do, don't fertilise it!!!!!! I will also say that the mentioned weeds are possibly doing better than ever Have a search for threads on weeds in turf and you'll learn some seriously solid info The weeds you have will not be eradicated with general weed sprays brokers will also be in a position to get you a better rate than the advertised rate most times. 6 7564 Hi all, has anyone been ask to do the weeds in their property while in the middle of build?
