Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Mar 11, 2010 10:53 pm I'm in Adelaide (Adelaide Hills to be specific) and we're nearing completion of our home. We're in the process of having stormwater and road base put down around the perimeter of the house for future paving. I'd like to get started with preparing the soil for our garden. Especially planting screening plants and some trees (fruit and shade). With a view to putting in lawn when the risk of frost has passed, ie. October. The builder has left the site in a bit of a mess and but it's being levelled by the excavation company. Can anyone advise where to start? It's a bit daunting... What do we need to do first? What sort of soil would be best for getting a garden established? Should we cultivate the soil first then put garden soil on top? Any advice for an area that will be prone to frost during the winter? Your help would be much appreciated! Really tight at the top of the stairs- how to get furniture into those rooms? Study books - does anyone really use them these days? Large storage closet would be more functional. 2 6895 I ended up going with 'Andrew Belic Construction Co.' https://www.instagram.com/andrewbelicconstruction/ 2 59686 I am not sure whether Perth has its own way of doing things in regards to this. Most of Perth has class A (sandy soil), except for some areas near rivers or hills. 2 13106 |
