Re: Cost of landscaping &gardening on new in house Piara wat 3Mar 08, 2010 11:53 pm Hi Afropiara, my husband and I are in the process of doing our landscaping and were around the corner from piara waters. our block is 510sqm and we smallish size back yard because the block is basically all house. our retic and grass being laid for out the front and back was $3500k and that was cheap. we have a small retaining wall and peddle stool built so we can put a pot plant on it so it's the main feature. the wall cost $700 to lay, bricks were about $800 and then we had it plastered which was $800 and then we painted it ourselves, we have also bought that stone cladding to put on a section of the wall and that was about $1000k. to do just a simple back yard and front yard with retic and you do the work yourself your probably look at $8000-$12000k including retic (installed professionally) lawn, plants (depends what your after) wetter soil mix, chook poo or cow menure to get the soil good and pebbles or paving down the dead side of your house. then you also need to get a plumber out for your retic so they can connect it to the mains, which is about $120 and you also need to have a power point in your garage so your retic box can be plugged in. it's not cheap to do a garden, even a basic one. and oh i forgot to mention you need to get your land levelled which cost us $800 and our land was pretty much flat. Itemid=372 and below is our floor plan of our house. http://www.aussielivinghomes.com.au/Awa ... e-Serenity we added an extra $80k to upgrade the house like recess ceilings, bulk head in the kitchen, making the master bedroom twice the size, double garage, moving a few walls here and there, picture recesses, double shower, twin vanities and etc. we loved the apsen by ross north homes but it was far too expensive for us. our home is just like a display home. when we were building the house we were buying new furniture every week. i have a colour scheme running thru the house alot of white, gray and black. we still have to paint the interior though... were going to get a professional home because its a high class home i dont want to do crap job! plus i HATE painting! it's going to be about $4000k for us to get our house painted so we'll have to save up for it. and were also just installing lights, lights are not cheap to buy and to install! Re: Cost of landscaping &gardening on new in house Piara wat 7Mar 10, 2010 8:18 pm If your retic was cheap it is going to make up the cost savings in your water bill over the near future. It also costs the cities resources Lets hope the lawn areas had MP rotators and or gear drives used and subsurface irrigation used in the garden beds. I might add that I personally don't condone the use of many of these as being water wise or practical designs. in fact considering that the yuccas will only look good in that design in the link for the time of the display, it is silly to use that as a basis for design and planting ideas. Google Yucca elephantipes and tell me if that is a good choice. I also have concerns about the volume of irrelevant information you have in your post. Are you sure you are not trying to sell up on the particular builders mentioned? Looking for some advice on pool surround planting. We have roughly 500mm wide garden bed around the edge of our pool. Depth of the bed is only around 250-300mm to top… 0 3866 I ended up going with 'Andrew Belic Construction Co.' https://www.instagram.com/andrewbelicconstruction/ 2 59667 Hmmm, I have checked your past posts and it seems that you are in NSW, not WA as I had thought.
