I was thinking about having a row of red cordylines all the way along, perhaps with some sort of grassy thing (you can tell I am good at this sort of thing) in between with white pebbles. I envisage this being all the way along the edge of teh garden (as seen in the photo). The area looks quite different now but the edge remains the same.
