Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design Re: Tree Removal in Brisbane 2Mar 04, 2010 10:18 pm We just had 3 gum tree removed in the western suburbs it was cheaper to get all 3 done at the same time than at different times. It was $475 each for 2 smaller gums which came done to $275 each and $630 for a larger gum that had branches over hanging our house. These prices did not include stump removal but the stumps poisoned to stop regrowth. I had power lines on both sides so the quotes were quite high, but there was a big (~2k) difference in quotes! I got 5 quotes... 1st - $2500 2nd - $1800 3rd - $2900 4th - $1300 5th - $990 Guess who I went for? These prices are just for tree removal no stump grinding. The quote for $990 was from Michael's Tree Services (http://www.michaelstreelopping.com.au/). They did a nice clean job and finished in about 2 hours. He climbs up there himself, rather than using a cherry picker, so that keeps the price down. As you can see, it always pays to get a few quotes. Hope this helps. Re: Tree Removal in Brisbane 7Mar 06, 2010 7:07 pm Climbing the tree themselves is the way it is supposed to be done.
