Help 2Feb 09, 2010 7:51 pm Stay away from the 'weed and feed' type herbisides on buffalo. SW will handle better than most but they're not a good method of weed removal. A healthy lawn and mowing will remove most weeds. If you don't need to mow after fertilising, check your soil for pH and general health of your soil. Re: Weeds in Buffolo Sapphire? Applying weed sprays also harms the soils ecology which in turn creates a weaker lawn more susceptible to weeds and you enter the never ending cycle of weeds and weeing your money against a wall. pretty normal to get weeds and a few hick ups with new lawns because the soils micro-organisms are often out of balance still. nutrient levels are all over the place and the turf is often stressed. I'd leave it and let the weeds pass, and they will. Focus on soil health, click the link below for how that works and some tips on how it can be fixed. That is what will fix the weeds in reality.
