Turf irrigation - pop ups vs subsurface vs no irrigation

Too expensive and not required to do it that way.

The Perth coastal plain is acknowledged as the worst agricultural soil in the world.

The subsurface sounds like it is for the garden beds and all that needs to be laid on the surface and covered with fresh green mulch

Get good soil in by all means but mix it deeply with what you have. This avoids defined layers of very poor soil and very good soil. That will avoid shallow root growth and by mixing you will have much healthier plants. You need to understand that WA soils have incredible mico ecologies. It is the very thing that got me interested in looking at why our plants are so amazing in such poor soils
Apply the same concepts on a far more intesive scale in the home garden and be prepared to be amazed

As you can see over here in WA we have an enormous amount of certified organic and high grade organic soils available. We know and understand the value and efficiencies of irrigation much better. We manage our water far more effectively (and there are many who know how it can be done better still) There are a huge amount of businesses and organisations that are on the same page with their standard of advice
If only the rest of Australia would follow suit.

For the Mexicans reading this (Those on the other side of the boarder) you may not be able to buy these soils but you can read and apply the information found in some of the links
Especially the native plant advice, because have a guess where so many of the native plants you buy in nurseries over there come from
